This meeting was scheduled to start at 7:00 pm but commissioner said we are delaying until 7:05

Meeting minutes – addition of the following:  Old Business:

Fundraising:

Coaching volunteer donations are set up and being received.

Tryouts:

We talked about how we came up with the dates.  We used regular practice dates, and the coach’s responses to the google that was form sent around.  Without everyone there that was all we had.

The times were:

5:30 checkin, 6 PM start

6:30 checkin, 7 PM start

Emails:

Email lists will be by age group.  Kurt will set them up.  No using outside emails for recruiting.  Website will be updated to remove email addresses.

  • When at the MOSA cup players, coaches, parents are held to a higher standard
  • Forfeits must be reported to bill who will then report to MOSA
  • People going over 6 goal limit and only entering 6. 
  • Post play – should be reported, but you can go 3 weeks beyond your date
  • July 25th, next meeting, trophies should be ready – 5 teams! 
  • Email on groupme – issues w refs and spectators – aimed at us. Severity is up, though frequency is down. Parents can be banned if they go on the field! The club then must have a board member present to make sure they are not there and it could yield a 500.00 fine. 
  • No refund on registration – if you aren’t playing in MOSA, speak up
  • Secondary passes- the way we will do them is going to change. If you are using a secondary in 7v7 or 9v9, there can only be a combination of 3 for these ages, and it is 5 for 11v11
 Code of conduct will be sent by hsc to players and families

Video of rules will be made and put on our social media… We will figure out what and by whom but aiming for the start of the fall season. 

Google meet to be put together ahead of the fall season to address HUB – harassment, intimidation, bullying – targeted at the kids. The goal is to send a positive message and raise awareness of conduct on the field.

letters As per Brian, his request to get it done right away. Gave Nelson until saturday. Nelson said at least sunday. Age levels locked in are 2014, 2015, 2016, Bryan Nemeth is taking over, 2017 are locked in, 2016 girls, 2013 boys will be taken over by moe. Looking to add 2013 girls. 

Frank and Nelson will send tomorrow.

Gregg and bill – nelson would like the list sent out quickly. 

Syl is looking to send letters Monday, the last game is sunday. 

Coaches should send letters to those they are accepting. Kurt will send the letter. Send name, parent name and email, team name. Kurt also has a reminder. 

 2 on 2015 have not committed yet. 

Kyle wants to know if any 2016 are dropping down.

Email rich if you need players taken off your roster. 
Insurance and new players Gregg is asking about the date and time to start new players… insurance purposes. July 1 is the start of the new player year. 
rejection All rejection letters will be sent july 1

Brian wants to work on the rejection letters. He wants to say — we feel like your player needs another year in rec and would like to try out again. 

 Reach out before July 1 if you are not renewing a player. Phone calls encouraged. 
union Trainers will be starting 2 weeks before the season starts. 
Fall season Starts September 8, off columbus day and labor day. 
Nelson – general 7 new teams. A lot more coaches. We have to try to do and be better as a group. Nelson, Rich, and Kurt have decided to delete groupme and go with email or text messages. Agenda will start coming out 7 days ahead. An executive board will meet ahead of time, perhaps 45 minutes. This will narrow the focus. All new coaches will be at the next meeting. Will be told about duties, etc. Gregg wants the coach notified when they do something wrong such as in the situation with the bathroom. Proposal is to have an executive meeting the week  before on a virtual basis.  No more hardship – you can apply for a scholarship and work it off. Let’s talk to parents about working off the debt.possibly opening the concession stand as a way.  
Step 1 – email player

Step 2 -rich sends out an e-contract that has to be digitally signed, 50.00 when the contract is signed. Can be waited until invoiced from teamsnap or can mail a check, and then 100 per month for 7 months. Paying in full is an option. 

 Travel – playing time is at least 25% of the season. 

Rich’s team is the trial team to make sure this works. 
New business Frank, Nelson, Brian – summer select next year? Anybody interested in coaching? 
Big sister, little sister

Big brother, little brother program proposed by Syl for over the summer when moe does goalie training… and could help develop youth coaches. 
Every player will get new practice jerseys
Registration night, fitting, etc – date to be determined
MOSA Any and all communication comes from bill as MOSA rep and bill only. 
New coaches Basic kit to be assembled, coaches can request things
trainers Eric says value is not there. He had a trainer that was only training for 2 weeks.  Next year with union trainers
