HSC to Hold Player Interest Sessions
The Hamilton Soccer Club will be holding player interest sessions March 25 to March 28. The sessions will be held at the Hughes Drive fields at Mercer County Park. The purpose of the sessions is to identify players that would benefit from a higher level of competitive play. There are a few teams that are looking to fill out their roster for the Spring 2024 season while others are looking for players to join in the Fall 2024/Spring 2025 seasons. The sessions will be run by a combination of our Youth Coach Certified Coaching staff and our Professional Trainers. Each player will be evaluated on their technical ability, tactical awareness, physical attributes, and their mental traits.
If players are looking to get some additional training, looking for a club to join, or even looking for a new opportunity then they are encouraged to register at the Player ID Session Registration page.
The Hamilton Soccer club has a rich history dating back almost 50 years. The majority of teams participate in the Monmouth Ocean Soccer Association (MOSA) while a select few play in the Elite Development Program (EDP). The determination of which league a particular team plays in is a combination of prior success and the desire of the team participants. The training program at HSC includes Licensed Coaches and Professional trainers. Teams practice twice each week with one session focused on skills development with the Professional Training Staff and the other session run by our Licensed Coaches.
In addition to league games, teams also participate in tournaments and cups. Tournaments and Cups are a great way for teams to measure themselves against teams that may play in different league flights, different leagues, or even teams from other states. HSC has traditionally looked for open tournaments, meaning they are not restricted to only EDP or non-EDP teams. Some of our EDP teams do play in EDP only tournaments.
For Cup Championships, HSC participates in open league cups while other enter the NJ State Cup, which feeds into the National Championship series. HSC has had some recent success in the League Cups with three teams making the finals in the Fall MOSA Curci Cup (Warriors, Renegades, Infernos) and one team, the 2013 Renegades, winning the cup. This was their second MOSA cup win and capped off a very successful Fall 2023 Season.
